WHAT TO EXPECT
The roof repair process
From welcome call to project completion, we’ll guide you through the whole journey.
OUR PROCESS
A CLEAR PATH AHEAD
Our construction process
Step 2: Colour selection
This is the fun part — choosing the colour of your new roof! You'll be able to choose from ZINCALUME® steel or COLORBOND's classic roof colour range, which contains 22 different colours. Alternatively, if you've been advised that due to your property's proximity to salt water, you'll be able to select from COLORBOND's ultra range instead.
Step 3: Project preparation
Before construction starts, we'll take care of everything behind the scenes: a pre-site check and measure, materials, trades, timelines, approvals and insurance. If required, council approvals can take up to 5 weeks to be confirmed, so this step needs a little patience, but we'll keep you updated the whole way.
Step 4: Variations (project dependant)
Sometimes your insurer needs to approve extra work before we can proceed such as solar system replacements, insulation or frame upgrades. We call this a variation. It can add some time to your repair, but it means you won't be left covering the extra cost yourself.
Step 5: Repairs begin
Once trades are on-site, your repairs can take anywhere from two days to a few weeks depending on the scope of the job. Our trades have been selected for their quality workmanship, reliability and attention to detail. We also conduct a Quality Audit throughout the entire repair process to check it’s being done the way we'd want it done for our own home.
Step 6: Construction complete & sign-off
Once your roof is complete, we’ll carry out a final quality inspection to check that all work has been completed to a high standard. You’ll then have the opportunity to review and sign off on the repairs before we hand over all applicable certificates, warranties and statutory documents for your records. Then it’s time to enjoy your new roof!
