Frequently asked questions
What type of roofs do you work with?
We specialise in repairing metal sheet roofs using COLORBOND® steel or ZINCALUME® steel. We can also replace decramastic tiles (metal tiles). We don’t currently repair regular roof tiles made from concrete or terracotta.
Do you only work with insurance repairs?
We currently only undertake insurance repair work, however, this may change in the future.
What is the timeframe for repairs to be completed?
Many factors will contribute to the commencement of repairs, including the availability of materials, the extent of the damage, and the scheduling of necessary trades. Additionally, obtaining building approvals and any required variations to your Scope of Works will also impact the timeline. Our team will keep you informed throughout the repair to ensure you’re kept in the loop throughout the entire process.
Can you help with solar system inspections and replacements?
Absolutely. We offer a full range of inspection, reporting and replacement services, to confirm whether hail damage is present, and if it is, we will provide a detailed report to support your insurance variation. We use industry-leading Electroluminescence (EL) testing, which is far more reliable than standard methods like thermal imaging, so you can trust the results. You'll also have the option to request a system upgrade if you’re happy to pay for the additional costs. Simply ask the Auscoast Team for more information.
What is a variation?
A variation is a change to your original Scope of Works that may become necessary after the initial inspection. Variations typically arise due to unforeseen repairs necessary to restore the property to its original condition or if required to ensure compliance with current building codes and regulations. While Auscoast Builders makes every effort to identify all required repairs during the first inspection, some issues may only become evident once construction begins and the old roof sheets are removed.
